My wife Ulrika and I lost our oldest daughter in a car accident on January 29 this year. Mische was only 31 years old. Words cannot describe the time that followed for us in the family, her husband and everyone else who was close to Mische. In this chaos, I still wanted to write and record a song with Southside Café for her funeral. This is the result. I realize that it tears up emotions again and again, but I never want to forget.
It's without a doubt the hardest song we've ever written, but it was also a reminder that music is ultimately about emotion and nothing else. And sometimes it's okay to not feel good.
Some songs should never have to be written.
