People often ask about the genre of Southside Café. Is it rock? Is it pop? Weren’t you into heavier stuff before? For a long time, We tried to provide the perfect answer, combining words like ”psychedelica”, ”brit-pop”, ”cinematic” etcetera. We don’t do that anymore. We prefer to say that we play plain rock music like our many heroes from the 1970s and the 1980s. Classic bands like Queen, ELO, U2 and Oasis were always unpredictable. You never had a clue about the style or genre of their next song. In Southside Café, we try to build on that tradition. A bit schizophrenic? Absolutely!
